Spam is out of control

The amount of spam email that I've been receiving over the past couple of months is very high. I keep logging into webmail and marking them as spam but apparently nobody at TWC/Spectrum is looking at them. Or is it that like all big corporations they just don't care?

Hello,

I have had TWC/Spectrum services since 1990 and have NEVER used their email.  I would recommend a browser web-based email:

1.) Begin by getting Ad Block Plus.  Type in AdBlock Plus in the search box of your favorite web browser and install it.  It is offered for Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.  Ad Block plus will block not only 99% of banner ads on websites and free email programs, it will also stop You Tube Video ads.

3.) Next get either a Gmail or Yahoo Mail free account.  Both are excellent and will provide much better spam protection than Spectrum email.

Here are links to those email pages to sign up:

Yahoo Mail: https://overview.mail.yahoo.com/

Gmail: https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=https://mail.go...

I do have email accounts with Yahoo, GMail, and Hotmail. I've begun changing my email addresses from RR to the other accounts. I also use AdBlock with the Chrome and Firefox browsers.

It's just maddening that TWC/Spectrum doesn't seem to want to do anything about the plethora of spam that is getting through their filters.

Hi,

I heard even from TWC employees that say their email is bad.  Another option is Microsoft Office Online.  With a Microsoft Account and going to Microsoft Office OneLine, you can get a free On-Line office suite that gives you free Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Mail.   You also get Free On-Drive Storage! It doen't have the bells and whistles of paid MS Office products, or the $100 a year for life fee for an Office 365 subscription,   But it meets the needs of most basuc users.  Here's a link to Microsoft Office Online:

Go down the page, and it will talk about how to use and sign up for MS Office Free Online:

Hope this helps!
