Sent e-mails to invaiid addresses do not get returned?

[ Edited ]

Hello.

Is it me or do many invalid e-mail address (e.g., thisshouldfail1234567890@dslreports.com) do not get returned when sent from TWC's RR servers (mail.twc.com (port 587 and StartTTLS) and https://webmail.roadrunner.com?

Thank you in advance. Smiley Happy

When you send to a non-existant user account on a remote email server, theTWC mail servers don't send the reject notice.  That has to come from the server to which you sent the wrongly addressed email.  If you mess up the server name you may or may not get a failed delivery notice from the RR mail server.

Hmm. TWC should send the failed e-mails like other e-mail providers like EarthLink.

The TWC email server wouldn't know there was a problem with the message it sent  until it hearsabout it  from the receiving server.

Interesting. I wonder why since other e-mail providers (e.g., EarthLink) get them.
