Delete e-mails in mass

I found this somewhere about a year ago and cannot find it now. Therefore, when I remembered how to delete my rr e-mails in mass, I thought I would document it here.

First move any e-mails that you want to keep out of your inbox.

Next, go to your manage folders and select the icon to the far left beside of your inbox (or any other folder) that looks like an upside file with papers falling out. By selecting this, you will move all of your e-mails in that folder to deleted items. Then you do the same to deleted items. Because I had so many, I had to do this multiple times as it only moved about a thousand at a time. Still this is better than 25 to 100 at a time. after each time just select the Manage Folders again and it will update the number of e-mails in the account. Took me a while to delete almost 9,000 e-mails, but I could click the button and get another task accomplished and come back to it.

When you are done, move your saved e-mails back to your inbox.

If there is a better way to accomplish this, please let me know.
