expected download / upload speeds

What should my download and upload connection speeds be?  Currently, my download speed is running around 14-15 mbps, but upload speed is only 0.96 mbps.

For your level of RR internet, your upload speed should be at or near 1MBPS. Your Upload is in range. :smileyhappy:

Standard: 15 down / 1 up

Turbo: 20 down / 2 up

Extreme: 30 down / 5 up

Ultimate: 50 down / 5 up

(These levels are for the Carolinas divisions. Your upload and download speeds may vary based on your location)

Re: expected download / upload speeds

Testing speeds is a fickle thing.  For grins, this morning, I tested my speeds using TWC's site and then using speedtest.net, allowing the latter to select the most responsive server.  The TWC test showed my download speed at 2 Mb/sec slower than the speedtest.net speed.  If your speeds are consistently more than 10% less than specified by the plan you have, a call to support might be in order.  Of course, you will probably get the, "unplug your modem for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in", response, but hey, sometimes that works.
