Wireless Disbaled in Motorola SBG6580

I saw a forum about this issue and cannot reply to it. I subscribed to Spectrum a week ago, have this model as my own modem...and the wifi is intentionally disabled by Spectrum. Why do you disable the wifi, and what is the point of "allowing" customers to use their own equipment? It is frustrating and causes unnessary expense in purchasing extra equipment (i.e. router).

Your combo unit is probably set to bridge mode. If you don't have access to the user interface to enable wifi, call customer service to have them re-provision the combo unit so it is not bridged.
