Why is 100mbps internet $44, when I am paying $69.99 for it?

When I first got Spectrum months ago, I was paying for 30mbps. I then ugpraded to 60mbps, and now it was automatically upgraded to 100mbps.

When I was bored, I pretended to shop on Spectrum. I saw that 100mbps is $44. I could get 400mbps with the current price that I am paying. Why is this?

$44 is a new customer promotion.

Yup, Spectrum's 'Starter' rates for phone, video, and internet bundles only last for the first twelve months, just like every other provider.  After that your rates will be raised regularly, and you will soon be paying about $70 per month again..
