Upload speed dropping and unstable

For about a month now my internet has been messing up pretty bad, my download speeds have been fine & pretty consistent but my upload speeds aren't even meeting 70% of my plans speed. I stream on twitch sometimes and a few weeks ago I noticed my upload speed would randomly drop every 20-30 seconds for 10-15 seconds at the time.

I could stream @ 5,000 kbps with no problems and have changed no settings. Spectrum sent a tech to my house and said the signal was good and that the issue had to be at the pole, earlier today maintence worked on poles outside and since then I've noticed my speed went up from 4Mbps to 7-8 Mbps (still not what I should be getting) and the upload speed is still dropping. I've checked to make sure it's not only twitch, even uploading an image to imgur the upload kills itself. Sending images through discord sends at like 10kbps, before it was almost instant. Not sure what to do right now because I've tried everything with TWC and i'm still having these upload issues. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Upload speed dropping and unstable

Good morning.

If you are still having problems after the maintenance crew has been out to correct what the in home technician called in we would suggest a follow up visit. In some cases the more obvious issues are corrected and only then can we diagnose and correct the underlying issues.  Please reference this thread.  Connectivity/Upload-speed-dropping-and-unstable

Re: Upload speed dropping and unstable

turn off all cloud/ sync, onedrive, dropbox and verify the win 10 peer to peer updater is off, retest speed with no other devices on.

Verify IPv6 is off on all devices.

Re: Upload speed dropping and unstable

Remember that when running SpeedTest to verify that your home connection is meeting specifications, you connect the computer directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable.  Do not go through your router, do not use a cell phone, and DO NOT USE WiFi!  All of those can seriously degrade data throughput.

Re: Upload speed dropping and unstable

I've been having the same exact problem. A technician came today and replaced the modem and said everything was fine, but it's still not resolved.
