Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Well, I changed the splitter with a newer one I had laying around and changed some of the coax cables.  No fix.  I'll call another tech now that I have a little bit of proof.

I'm getting  around 4-6 mb/s upload right now.  I need a constant 6mb/s to stream.

Also here is another log from the modem...

My issue started in the evening on 2/27 and there are some events that go on that I noticed.

Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Just a little update...

The tech came out and was seeing huge flucations in upload speed.  He went out and checked the box that leads into the apartment building and said the issue was coming from the box.  Another work crew came out and worked on it for two hours or so.  Said they fixed it but I still have the issue Smiley Sad

Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Post the signal level page and whether or not they removed the splitter... Upstreem needs to be lower than +50.0 dBmv to be reliable.

Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Second tech came out today and replaced the router which also caused my IP address to change.  However, the problem still exists.

I'm all out of ideas.  The second tech's tests showed no packet loss this time.

Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Looks like they got the US level out of the grey area by 3 dB, so they removed a splitter.

You're getting a few bits of correction/ ingress and are either in NC or Austin, correct? This may be a widespread issue on the node from broadcast Tv ingress

I'm in San Antonio.  Thanks again for the response.

Another screenshot of what it's still doing.  It's different then the first screenshot but overall quality is still the same

Re: Unstable bitrates (upload speeds)

Did you ever find a fix?
