SB6141 Connection Resetting Problems

Hello,

My SB6141 has started acting up, dropping connections with increasing regularity. Spectrum says everything's fine. For further reference, my service is supposed to be the 300MB/s tier, although I rarely get above 200.

Here's the log from the last reboot, which happened a few minutes ago. Anyone have any ideas?

The tech I spoke with on the phone earlier this morning advised that my modem might need to be replaced... is that likely?

Thanks in advance for any insight provided,

Jeff

Nope, nope and NOPE.

your s and all other 8x4 modems are only run at a Maximum of 100 megs downstream no matter what you pay for and it's been that way from day one.

Next, you have a major signal issue, your DS level is way too low, s/n is at the bottom end of usefullness and your upstream is ay Max with no room for any more loss.

You need to get rid of all the splitters you havein line, I'll bet at least one 4 way and a couple 2 ways... maybe open ports as well...

Now if you want to get 300/20 service you will need to buy a new 16x4 modem BUT IT'S STILL GOING TO BE BAD until the signal levels are fixed.

Modem must be on No splitter if you're internet only or the first  2 way if you have cable tv.

Repost levels after you eliminate the splitters.

Thank you very much, MsRaye; I greatly appreciate your feedback and insights. I'll check into the splitter situation. I gathered from other posts on here that I was going to need a new modem regardless!

Might also point out that TWC got into BIG trouble with Attorney General's Office in State of New York a couple years ago.  They were selling customers high speed internet plans that the customer-provided modems could not ever receive and billing the customers  excessively for years.
