CMTS is basicly a server that has one or more 8 channel shelves on it.
There could also be a hybrid fiber combiner or a coaxial one ....
This may only show up on customers that have 24-32 ch modems if the cmts isn't randomy assigning 4,8,16 ch modems on the upper channels. We're just customers here and can't hack the CMTS stats.
it generates a "flop" report that TWC/spectrum doesn't ever read....
if it gets real bad, it will alarm and maybe they'll look at it.
VPN's have horrible issues with uncorrecteds.
Sure enough, new numbers after last night's reset show the same correctables/uncorrectables on ch. 17-24 - seems pretty consistent at this point. Interestingly, ch. 23 is clear. Still same intermittent packet loss towards my final destination. Some of the dropped packets are not started at my router or modem, agg37.ithcnycy01h.northeast.rr.com still looks weird. I'm going to try to correlate the charted PL to an increase in c/uc packets on the modem and see if they match up.
EDIT - Just experienced a bout of annoying loss. Graphs show the loss beginning in the modem, they are all posted below, all same time period. The c/uc packets haven't changed since the above check, not sure if that's a low update rate, or maybe that's not the issue?
