I am posting this issue as I have raised it originally to TWC (before the merge) and now Spectrum. The infrastructure in Portland, ME is plagued with high latency and inconsistent servers. I hate playing games on TWC/Spectrum network here because of rediculous pings to central (60ms) / west coast (80-120ms) servers. DSL in our area (although worse download/upload) at least gets consistent central (40ms) / west coast (55ms).
Furthermore there are frequent ping spikes on "agg62.ptldme0201h.northeast.rr.com" in traceroutes that I have provided to TWC/Spectrum, but I always receive followups saying "things are fine and that they would like to send a Tech out." The Techs always say "What does latency/ping mean?... Sounds like a problem in the network, nothing I can do about that."
I have moved houses within Portland, as well as tested this at my mother in law's house and they all have experience the same crappy ping. Can you clowns fix your network otherwise I am going to cancel service again and go back to DSL.
I was hoping Spectrum was going to be an improvement over TWC but I guess this is just the same joke.
