Modem drops internet connections several times a day

Arris SB6183

I replaced my Arris 6141 with an 6183 and problem persists.  The modem drops connections several time a day.  I have reset the modem to defaults.

I have removed all splitters, so the cable from outside goes straight to the modem.

Changing your modem will not magically repair signal problems on the cable line that cause the T3 or T4 error messages.   You need to schedule a home repair tech so he can see the installation, inspect the wiring, and evaluate the signal quality coming in from the street.  

Before you reset the modem again, print out a hard copy of the signal level and event status logs so the tech can see them when he visits you.  Resetting the modem will erase that historical information and makes the tech's job much harder.
