Kicked off internet at least once a week

Hello,

I have started getting kicked off the interent at least once a week. A power cycle always works, but I am wondering what I can do to try and troubleshoot this issue?

 

I am using a TP-Link TC-W7960 cable router

Copy/paste here your signal level page, event log. No pics,  because they don’t show up.

 

One of the pros here can diagnose your issue with that information.

We get kicked off more often than that. it happens when all 5 of us are home and on devices.

the other criteria that might be involved is I use a VPN?

 

We are using our own router as the one from Spectrum had really bad coverage and was tired of "renting" the device. But I do have a Spectrum Motorola SurfBand I could swap over to if that might help any connectivity issues?

The VPN idea will not work until you get the cable problems resolved.  This can't be fixed over the  phone or by swapping the modem.  It requires a tech on site first, then probably a bucket truck crew a few days later.

I already use a VPN, been for quite awhile. Before and after the intermittent disconnects. Why would you think it involves a tech on site?

Need to see the signal level page with some hours of "up" time and your zip code

You're having an ingress issue of some sort, probably the entire node
