I have been streaming internet movies, with a device that worked well before on TWC internet and also still works well on other ISP services.
However, it does not seem to work at all since I changed over from TWC to Spectrum, even though the speed is higher (from 15Mbps to 100Mbps).
I would like to know if Spectrum is trying to get me to go elsewhere for my internet, since this is useless for streaming anything at all, except for their TV App.
I wonder if they are blocking certain sites or reducing bandwidth when you use more bandwidth.
Location: Lewiston NY
Modem: Technicolor TC8717TMV
Speed: tested between 100 and 117Mbps
Wifi Router: Linksys EA8500
Connection: Wireless at 40-50Mbps
Turn Off IPV6 on everything, I have been streaming Netfix and Hulu for years and never any issues. I also stream via my Apple TV and no issues ever. Also if you can try to change your DNS to Google DNS 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 and see if this helps you.
If you can also do a traceroute, if you have windows
Open up a Command Prompt Window = Windows Key + R in the run box type CMD
Type: Tracert www.netflix.com and share the results.
