INTERNET KEEPS DROPPING THEN COMING BACK

I have gone through several modems and a couple routers because my connection keeps dropping for about 1-3 minutes then comes back. it is very fustrationg especially when playing online games and I have the 200mbps plan as well, so I expect no lag, but the connection keeps dropping. This has been happening for months now.

need to see the correcteds uncorrected counts, don't reset the modem.

you may be having ingress from broadcast TV and your 4G LTE phone as well as some sort of upstream issues causing the T3 timeouts.

what's your location and is this a house or apartment?

 Any splitters in line?

 Are all connections a tad more than finger tight?

Do you have TWC cable tv?

so does mine - i got installed on 03-04-2017 and i havent had internet on for a long period of time . and also my phone - i still havent been able to use it - it doesnt even show caller id on my tv --- thank God my tv has stayed on

Betty -

If your service was newly installed but does not work, you need to call TWC for a return service visit.  Also make sure you get a credit on your bill for the number of days you have not been able to use internet or make phone calls, including 9-1-1!

This is Costa Mesa region in an apartment complex coaxial through wall into modem just Internet service. Coax is properly secured to modem.

call twc and complain, T3's are a minor inconvenience, the T4's are a total loss of service and cause the modem to reset to try and find good channels...

A t3 a week or longer is good, mant per day is bad. Good luck on a VPN or trying to game....

one thing id highly suggest especially if your gaming over wifi (which isnt suggested), but if you are, to do port forwarding. call and ask for tier 3 and provide them with your gaming consoles ip address which you can find under settings and they can do the rest.

TWC does not support port forwarding on residential service.  If you rent their modem-router, those settings are locked.  Hardware must be customer-owned to useport forwarding, and TWC will not offer any tech support if you have a problem.

Per customer reports, they won't if you can even get tier one and two to escallate  it to tirer three.

Any resets on the combo modem will usually turn off anything you set in it's router, even if you own the combo.

Put existing combo in bridged mode or buy a seperate modem and router, do the port forwarding settings yourself .

 Any of the combo or advanced gateways are absolute junk and should not be used or purchased if you expect any reliable advanced options.
