Re: Bonded downstream channels

You have an intermittent ingress issue, something is intermittently losing it's shield out on the street if they've replaced everything from the modem to the street.

It could be another house on the same tapoff or a mile down the road

Thanks. I'll call the tech that came last week and tell him that.  I hope he believes me!

Re: Bonded downstream channels

Wow..... tonight, down to only six downstream channels again, stalling/slowdowns on the Internet..... and channel 15 looks to me like excessive uncorrectables.

Re: Bonded downstream channels

YOU HAVE SEVERE BROADCAST TV SIGNAL INGRESS, PRINT OUT THE ABOVE PAGES FOR THE TWC TECH WHEN THEY ARRIVE.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE

LUCKILY YOU CAUGHT THE LOW S/N ON 639 mHz , that's broadcast tv ch 42

something is corroded , broken or loose.

Re: Bonded downstream channels

...and this is what I see at 7:30 am.... now..... in the logs, showing T4 timeouts about 2 or 3 hours after my modem reboot via my unplugging it last night.  Before the reboot last night, when I experienced the slow-down,and loss of channels, speedtest.com showed only 2 Mbps download and 1.25 upload, instead of the usual 15 to 18 Mbps download I pay for. HOWEVER, after the reboot last night, speedtest repeatedly showed 58 Mbps download and nearly 6 Mbps upload.  It still does this morning.  So we have had out speed upgraded from 15 to 50 Mbps down, here in Greensboro..... something the tech said they were working on and thought might be behind my issues till they finished.

I suspect I need to watch the signal amd logs another couple of days to see if they normalize now that the upgrade and new equipment is in place, or if they continue.  This is taking a lot of time to sort!

Re: Bonded downstream channels

The T4 might have reset the corrected counters, but even now they don't look bad, post the levels again

Something is intermittent...

Re: Bonded downstream channels

That's interesting, the modems not resetting the "good channels" counts and that all levels are the same...
