To anyone unfortunate enough to have been stuck with Spectrum for awhile now....

Hwow long after Time Warner officially switched in your area did Spectrum run those annoying, full of crap commercials TWICE EVERY COMMERICAL BREAK? Literally every channel, every show, no matter what time of day, every commercial break there is TWO Spectrum commericals. They are advertising cable ON CABLE!

Is it just that local advertisers know how awul Spectrum is (THREE service techs have indepedenently told me that they are thinking of quitting rather than being associated with the horrible rip off of Spectrum forcing upgrades on people who have NO need for them and calling them "free") that they can't get anybody to advertise so they just put their own ads in? It makes absolutely NO SENSE to waste that advertising time, or to pay the local networks, with that many commercials for this long. Again..it is ON CABLE...so you are advertising cable to people who already ahve cable. Even if we laughably say that people who have satellite want to switch to Spectrum, that is still like 5% of the people you are reaching.

IT is like going to see a movie and the coming attraction before the movie is a preview FOR THAT MOVIE!

The honest truth,

I know people who have been with TWC for years, and LOVE them.  I have a good friend who was with TWC, and left because he knew Spectrum was going to be a raw deal.  Look at some of the ways:

Spectrum's CEO got rid of Whole House DVR functionality, Six- tuner boxes Intelligent Home, and Signature Home, which were awesome services from TWC.

Spectrum's CEO moved away from Customer Solutions/Retention Departments for long-standing customers.

Spectrum's CEO is having trouble pushing people out to as little as 60MG Internet.  TWC in contrast had 200MG in New York, with plans to go up to 1 TB.

Spectrum's CEO now has the company giving out 2-tuner DVR's such as SA's and Motorola boxes that are 10-15 years old.  In contrast, TWC did such a wonderful job of moving those boxes out of the field and focusing on new technology.  6 tuner boxes.

In some divisions, if you switch from TWC to Spectrum billing, you can't even keep your six-tuner DVR's?  How is this progress?  Or helpful to the customer?

The only  thing that Spectrum may have improved, was streamlining the pricing structure with easier to understand billing options.  Make no mistake that Spectrum is way behind the technology line of what TWC once waqs.  Products and services that TWC had for yeas, Spectrum is just starting to push out at this time.

People complained when Comcast was about to come in and buy TWC.  Now they are begging for a new company instead of Charter!  Come back, TWC!
