program info.

Since Spectrum took over time warner, they have changed channel guide and program information.  While it has improved a bit, some movies still do not show the release year.  The biggest issue I have is with the info provided in NFL games.  Most of the time they do not show the record of each team. ie (6-5).  Tonight the guide says: "The Texans aim for their first Monday night win in two years as they.............in week 11 Baltimore blanked Green Bay........"  Not any indication what each teams record is.  You talk moe about the past than you do the present.

Re: program info.

Guide data is provided by Gracenote or Tribune Media Services (or whoever it is now). It is not generated by the cable company. The cable company just subscribes to the channel data stream, and many descriptions are written 14 days in advance, which is why you don’t see current football team records in listings.

Yes, Gracenote provides the data.  There are bugs in the new search boxes:

1.) Movies are often off one year from the year of release. plus or minus one year.  The data may be correct at first in the search, but is wrong when you select more information.

2.) Multiple Listings of the same show name, but from different eras, the keyboard search will only show the more popular show.  Only Reruns of Match Game on ABC On Demand show on the advanced keyboard search or the On Demand Keyboard Search portal.  To get to the 70's Gene Rayburn version on the advanced boxes, you bring up the On Demand Portal on Navigator by pressing the On Demand Button, than browse by network, than find GSN, and the 70's version of Match Game is there.

The info is good otherwise, but there are little bugs like the above that hopefully will be corrected in the next release of the Guide.  I submitted that listings need a year placeholder when two shows of the same name but from different eras are in the system, such as Match Game and Match Game (1970-1979)  This way the keyboard can identify both searches.
