Re: One America News Network

A lineup change (regional or nationwide) won't happen until Spectrum receives a significant number of user requests to add the programming and the provider and Spectrum come to mutual agreement on pricing and tiering of the content.  Realize too that you also will have to give up a less popular existing channel in the present news category which Spectrum can replace with OANN.

So get that process started: Fill out the request form to add your favorite news programming and ask your friends and neighbors to do the same.  The request form is supposedly available on-line in this Channels & Programming group but I don't see it identified in the topics list. Hopefully another reader will locate it and post the link as a reply.

That's not really how it works.

Contracts get signed and contract end all the time.

There is no 'We can only have 12 news channels at a time' limitation.

It's really more about available bandwidth for ALL channels offered and in what format. Assuming no bandwidth expansion, you would have to subtract or heavily compress something in order to add something.

You are correct that Spectrum is not contractually limited in the number of news channels it can offer simultaneously in your area.  However, their business model does indicate that a

certain mix of content has a better profit ratio.  That is something very important to the owners and investors (which may include part of your retirement plan).  Further,  the physical network itself is bandwidth constrained, which limits the total number of programs that can be transmitted at each given resolution ( SD, HD, 4k, etc).  And last, some content supplier contracts do restrict the carriage of some competing content in related categories.
