It takes over a week to get The Blacklist on demand. Now Episode 4 of Season 5 is available and Episode 3 never was. This is one example of the On Demand service being incredibly subpar compared to all competitors. Per every other cable and satellite company, The Blacklist has no restrictions on providing to paying customers on demand. This may be one of the most popular shows on television - so what's the deal?
The station determines when the TV vendors can put On Demand Content on the guides. This is typically 2-7 days after the original airing. Best bet is to contact the station website via email and ask why it is taking more than a week to get The Blacklist to Spectrum's On Demand services.
Make sure to give your city, state, and zip code when you report this information.
I would put good money down to say the reason for the delay is that NBC (among others)wants people to go to its own website to view online before making shows available On Demand. More traffic on its own website means more advertising revenue.
This does not explain discrepancies between On Demand availability thru the Spectrum App and my cable boxes. This happens frequently and I have questioned it previously in this forum. For instance - today there is an episode of Outdaughtered called Hurricane Update available thru the app on my ipad, but this episode is not available thru On Demand on my cable box. Really tired of this issue - especially considering my ever rising cable bill!!
On Demand through the Spectrum TV application, the individual network apps and your cable box will often not mirror one another.
You will often find more On Demand through the App, and more yet through the networks own website and app.
