you need a directional antenna aimed to the southwest, put the antenna in a s/w window without a screen and rescan.
If your walls have foil faced insulation in them that's another issue.
The other possibility is that if you have cable qam tv tuners, you'll get starter cable until it get's encrypted.
Tiers above starter are encrypted.

thanks for the info... i tried many different locations and currently on the inside of an outside wall downstairs ( master closet since my splitters are in there) and im getting about half of those but most are heavily digitized...

you'd need a vhf hi & UHF antenna outside as everythings 35 miles away: The UHF only ones that claim they work on ch's 7-13 don't work.

I currently have TV basic cable and internet. I only use the basic cable since I usually just watch local TV and TWC has a pricing for the combo thats cheaper than internet alone.
up until recently I was able to plug in my tv directly to the coax and get the basic channels and now everything is scrambled and requires the digital adaptor.
I want to keep off of using any type of streaming apps/devices so that it will not hog up my bandwidth and streaming has a lot of issues such as digitization audio mismatch. Also I would rather not have another device plugged in and attached to the TV's since I have 5 TV's and they are all wall mounted cleanly with no wires and no where near by to put the adaptor...
what other options do i have? my tv's do not have a cablecard slot.
