You probably have 4G LTE signal ingress on the 705 mhz channel. make sure all connections are tight and keep your AT&T phone away from the coaxial devices.

Yes, it's connected properly.  It's worked for years without issue before the Maxx update.


Here's what I get from the diagnostics screens on the Tuning Adapter/TiVo:

Tuning adapters use a different downstream channel than 16 ch docsis 3 modems.


Is it connected properly using it's coax in from the street and the coax out going to your Tivo or whatever cablecard device?



Coppy and paste your cable modems signal level and error log pages and get the TA's freq and signal levels as well


All downstream- IB & OOB rx s/b  in the -10 to +10 range and upstream OOBTX must be lower than +50 dBmv

It is most likely an issue with your CableCard provisioning that can be sorted out with a call to the TWC CableCard support number (866) 606-5880 or (866) 532-2598 and ask them to reinitialize your hardware.


The Tuning Adapter is really just a dumb interface between your TiVO / CableCard and TWC to process channel requests. If it had been working properly before and works to the extent you mention, your hardware is pretty well vindicated. Current M-Cards support 6 streams that are entirely unrelated to the 16 streams used by CableModems.


Tuning Adapter Issues since Maxx went live

Since my neighborhood went to 16 channels, my tuning adapter has been having issues.  At the point we went to 16, it started occasionally losing channels (the "Not Available" error in the Tivo history) or stalling on looking for a channel.  This got quite substantially worse since Maxx speeds went live.  It will now almost never tune to a local channel in the 1200s (but the ones in the low channels are usually OK).  It will frequently take a long time to locate a channel.  Or just sit on a black screen and never find the channel.  Was a new tuning adapter released that better handles the 16 channel stream?  Or is there something else I can do to improve the performance?  Getting kind of annoyed that we keep missing shows, and it will only get worse once the fall schedule kicks in for real.
