McAfee gone after update on two pc

Curious.,
McAfee is gone and Defender is "on".
Probably recent update related. Just wondering if Spectrum is still paying for the two licenses. Also, does Spectrum prefer we use McAfee ...from a management pov?
Here is a link to screenshot of error. Just went thru another win 10 update

Run Defender or Avast....

McAffee is too intrusive including their auto renewal that charges your credit or debit card without your permission. Check the Spectrum site and see if they're offering "free antivirus"

It's still listed as "free" on the TWC-Charter page.

They make their money by selling you the extra security add ons...

Agree 100%  Do the steps below to uniinstall Mcafee completely, and use Windows Defender instead:

Dump McAfee by uninstalling it from Ad-Remove Programs in Control Panel.  It is a huge bloated resource hog that offers only limited protection.

Now Reboot Your Machine.

Download the Macafee Product Removal Tool and run it.  This will get all of Macafee off your computer here:

Reboot your machine again.

Open Windows Defender.  Make sure it is up to date with the green check box showing.  If not follow the prompts to update the definitions and run a scan.

Your computer will now be less bloated with Macafee gone and a much lighter but very good AV in it's place, Windows Defender.

Thanks ...realize I never bought the "plus" version. They don't have my card..

The feature I value is an av's ability to scan website's for malware and as a reported history of malware. Think it's called "safe site"

Thanks I will uninstall it.
